I forgot the tittle

The last couple of days we being having lots of rain around here so we have had our share of tea parties making it children tea parties and a bit grown up tea parties. Nenas you guy love to drink Tea Masala  with some nice alfajores.

Oh I forgot to mention sometimes am invited to their tea parties and I have to wear a crown and the truth I don't mind it is nice to be call princess and not mami!

You know nenes there are things that just never change the other day while I brush your hair after bath, I though for a while how much I hate to brush hair...and that starts by me there are times that I don't brush my hair after I  wash it  thank God I have straight hair.

Is funny I am a mami now and very close to my 40's and the brush is not my friend at all.  Although I am trying to change by brushing las nenas hair everyday (but the truth is that it is not always like that)

The girls do allot of painting, I try for them to sit down and paint and come up with different ideas.  Samia is being working in a small book, I made it her a little book so she draws on it for a couple of days and then I sit down with her and she tells me a story of her book, is actually very interesting.

This week I being doing a bit of sewing specially since school starts tomorrow I CAN NOT WAIT----- I was thinking the other day if Abuela felt the same way when we were in vacation, a point when she could not wait till we would go back to school.. Sorry nenas you guys have not even made it to school yet and mami already has plans with Amir tomorrow!!!!

Here is a bit of the sewing I being working on.  I am trying to get rid of a bunch of fabric I have before I even think of buying more, I just don't want to be stuck with a bunch of fabric and feel guilty that I bought it and I never did anything, so not into I see my stash to Zero I will not be visiting the fabric store.

This time next week we would be in Miami I can not wait although I am going to miss baba I need the break, nenas one day you will understand that the only person I can trust my kids 100% with no worries is Abuela and of course baba well he does not count..so here comes 2 weeks of stress free kids.

Time is going so fast baba was talking to me yesterday and we came to realize the year is almost gone, that Samia is not a baby anymore, that Gamila is getting taller and skinny, that Amir is driving us crazy, and that in less than six months we would be in another house.  Is funny how in 30 minutes of talking to baba we touch so many subjects like

how much Samia looks like titi Mio

like Gamila is Palacio all the way

how Amir is in love with me....

how Obama is full of crap so much promises and Zero done!!!

How FACEBoook is a tool to help people make an ass of themselves!

That the move and the trip to Colombia are a fact!

That Abuelo would finally meet the kids!

That Zetu and Guido left a month ago and that having the house for ourselves is nice...nenes always be truthful to yourselves and to those around you, there is no need to sugar coat the realities of life like that ...the inlaws in your house for a very long time can be felt as pest even us Mami and Baba can become a pain in the royal neck one day....That is why baba and I always say that when you guys get big and marry and move out we are going to buy a motor home so we can just park outside and visit.

How I envy the fact baba puts his head in the pillow and falls asleep in No time

And to wrap up our weekend our Sunday ritual of flower picking to decorate our dinning table, the playroom table and living room...I just love seeing our roses is so rewarding...I am going to miss them when I leave this house.

Filling the hours!

The last couple days have being productive, well from my stand of point, although not having Samia for a couple of days actually makes a huge difference..  However I can not wait to go and pick her up, I know she is having the time of her life she has not even ask to call me.

Amir you love avocados, boy can you devour it and by the way make your self a face mask with it.

This is what you find next to my bed, I started working in a blanket I am going to give Samia for Christmas, she has being begging me for her own blanket like the one I made Amir, however I am making this one big so she can use it over the years, and yes I started 6 months before Christmas because I know myself and I would not be surprise is not finish by then....so hopefully it does, I try to do a couple of rows every night.

Amir mami made you some shoes specially now that we would be going to Miami for a couple of weeks...I know milo nothing for you, I promise you I will have something for you this week..my beautiful girl.

I think on Monday we had our friends over and like usually Ms. Bonnie and mami always try to cook for the rest of the week so we can freeze it, or not have to visit the kitchen everyday.  I was not to fond of freezing food but after having Amir there are days that I don't have much time left during the day so when is a difficult day, more like a day that mami has a baby hanging of her hip this frozen food is the best.

Well we made some spinach cheese pizza and we actually had las nenas add the toppings, I think Samia, Gamila did a great job.

Compare to the big girls pizza, and Who said pizza had to be round???

Ahlan sewing machine

Yes, I have taken back my sewing not much time left but here and there it keeps my mind going and the girls excited when they wake up in the morning and find what I have made.  This morning Samia woke up to this skirt, sorry Milo I am working on yours, since she did not have one she did not take off her sisters ruffle skirt.

The skirt was made with white cotton fabric and the ruffle is from an old shirt of mine as well as the lollipops or flowers Samia say they are lollipops when I was making the skirt I though of them as flowers, it was very simple to make and fast...and my nena loves pink so that is the only thing that matters.

Amir you are getting into computers now...for some reason he sees the computer and he goes crazy his eyes just pop open, yes amor like mami she loves computers.

Trying to have Amir pose with his boxers a gift from Ms. Kim they are still big on him but he looks so so cute. The moment I fix Amir to take a picture from some reason las nenas think is their turn as well.

Funny things I hear around the house....

G - Mami let's play you are the monster my baby is the prince and I am the king I will save him.

S - Mami ask her to please go and wash her teeth and in the way there please turn the TV off, ~~~~~ Your response in a very nice way "Mami I only have two hands"  Cono you learn fast!

G- Mami I am a big girl and Samia is a cry baby

One month left

So the countdown has started in about a month the baby would be with us...we all are so excited..baba is beyond himself he is already making plans with his boy, I never knew how much he wanted a boy....Gamila is always talking to the baby...mami is tired, not much sleep etc etc all the things that come in the last couple of weeks....and Samia does not stop asking when the baby would be born so she can feed him and dress him... because of this we made this chain so every day she can take a link off till the day that the baby makes it into this world Inshallah.

I have not being doing much lately finish a few shirts and a hat along with some booties, my friend Bonnie also had a great idea to make   changing pad with packets to put wipes, cream and pampers this way I can keep it within reach of the girls and they can pass it to me when we need a pamper change..I love the idea and the bib she made me as well.

I am also working in the nursery we have everything just need to hang it and finish it up...I also have being working on the kids bathroom would get this done this week as well.

I know tio Cesar is coming for the baby's birth I am so excited he is always so peaceful and is a pleasure having him around plus I know las nenas would love to be around him.

Abuela should also be arriving in the next couple of weeks she would stay with me a month.

Guido and Zetu are also coming at the end of March...I just love how a baby can bring so many family together like they say the birth of a baby is a blessing.

Jennifer is also coming to visit us with Charlie  this week I am so excited to see him he is gotten so big and cute and I know it would be a good learnign experience for las nenas to be around a baby.

Hidding tricks

This last couple of days have being very productive and spend in great company we started Friday by having some friends over the girls always have a blast together.  Samia you and Alexandra play now with no problem the truth is that you too get along very well we have also started to incorporate some learning activities every time you guys see each other, is amazing how the two of you enjoy doing worksheets.   Gamila you and Samantha are starting to play better however you guys are still young and it does not always works great.

Las mamis had fun baking cooking eating and sewing what can I say I always have fun around Bonnie, we tried to be productive not just sit down and chit chat.

Baby we recieved your Moises a couple of days back but after seeing the cover it came with there was no way you would sleep in there so I went ahead and made a new cover nothing fancy but nice and soft for you.  I also catch the girls playing with it and peeking...Wow I thin I am going to have to put bells or an alarm to make sure you guys don't hurt the little man those first couple of weeks.  I know is going to be difficult at the beginning I can just imagine myself running around the house tending to the 3 of you.  But like I always believe God only gives you what he knows you can handle.

So lately everytime I open the cabinets around the house I find something like this:

I have not being able to find out which of the two of them is hiding the toys.  This little two rascals are incredible

Mami's mind

So we finally have a tentative date for this baby to make his grand entry as of now is the 2th of March however I am going to change it for the 3rd this way he will be born on a Wednesdays just like Samia and Gamila.

I am also a number freak here is my logic behind the dates as well:

Samia 3/8/06 = 3+8= 11+6= 17 and 1+7= 8
Samia's date of birth

Gamila 11/7/07 = 1+1= 2+7= 9+7= 16 and 1+6= 7
Gamila's date of birth

Let's see how the baby's work and keep on mind Samia and Gamila were emergency C-section meaning I went to see Dr. did blood test and then called at home to go to the hospital right away. I know I am weird I love the number games no wonder I am an accountant and a die hard Sudoku player.

Few random things Gamila for some reason every time you finish taking a shower he brushes your hair in such a dorky way...while I give you a nice hair do baba does this slick back that makes you look Funny!!!! Not sure why he always argues that is the right way with the kind of hair you do.

Samia you ask so much about the baby today you wanted me to teach you how to change a pamper so you could change his pamper you wanted to practice in Gamila...you are so excited you even ask me if the baby can sleep with you, if you can feed him, I just know that you are going to be a great older sister.

I am almost finish with my first crochet blanket...It took me a while but I only have a few rows left, I still have to figure how do the sides so they look nice since I am not an expert it looks like a curvy road....baba has being wanting to take a pic of me crocheting but I did I never let him because I look like a grandma but today he was able to snap it.

Today I also finish a pair of cloth shoes I had being looking at a tutorial for a while but for some reason I always felt intimidated but today I said myself I have to tackle it.

Que locha!

Not much going on these days we have being so so lazy baba took the last 4 days off so we have enjoy being home with him, did some cleaning some nice cooking and lots and lots of locha (laziness)

I have also being crocheting a blanket...we finally have the name but we are keeping it undercover till he is born unless I decided to change at the last minute but I am more than sure that it would not be happening...I am hoping this week I can set the C-section date it would be nice to know...

I am also excited things finally go back to normal this week Samia starts school again and is hard to believe but is easier staying with Gamila at home than with Samia. Samiuta you always require entertainment..I have to set up activities for you...I guess I have never being a fan of TV and I try to bribe you watching TV but since you are not use to it you will only watch for about 15 minutes and then you are up and about.

Talking about Samia I found this books at the dollar store and wow they are awesome we have finish two already this weekend. One of them is the Learning line and the other is a care bear book with activities things like counting, before and after, opposites, looking at pictures and then telling me stories about it, sequence etc...

Gamila with you we decided it to give it a break with the potty training you were holding your pipi for 7 hours one time with no accidents or nothing, so it made me a little afraid so we are going to wait a few months, plus the baby is coming and the last thing I want to do is teach you and when the baby is born you go back to wanting a pamper.

I was also able to finish this little set of pants and shirt for my little man.

No Sunshine outside lost of it inside

Abu arrived Saturday night and since the weather has being so blah they drove me crazy the whole day when is Abu coming, is it night yet mami....here we are a few minutes before finally leaving to pick our Abu.

Today I was joking with Abu that she comes from the sunshine state and and did not even brought with her ea little sunshine instead this is what we have down here in south Louisiana.

My Samia is so bored of the rain.

While indoors today Abu helped me put apart my purses apart they had being breaking apart so we took the fabric and made a nice runner for the living room. She worked on it the whole day enjoying the girls.

Las nenas enjoy getting bath by Abu she just let them do whatever they want, well I guess that is what grandparents are for after all.
