Happy Bday baba!

Today we waited for baba anxiously from all the days he had to stay to work till very late, so after we finish all of our decorations and cake the girls started getting very impatient waiting for baba.


Samia help me allot with the cake, I was not sure what to design, I always make him the cake and always my caramel cake but I wanted to put something on top Samia wanted to decorated but I know baba is not a fan of frosting.  So we came up with the great idea of making a pond with fishes and baba  being the fisherman.
This was the final product and baba love it.

Samia was so excited with her baba's cake she could not stop looking at it the whole day, she look at it and open the frige maybe a thousand times.


She also made the wrapping paper for baba;s boots she loves to celebrate.

So many things are changing around here for starters Amir is starting to try to sit he laughs aloud now and loves to be tickle, I have also started to give him more formula since he is requiring much more milk.  He also loves to laugh at you when you are feeding him.


He loves to sit in our legs and watch the games with us, I think is the movement back and forth that he loves to watch...Amir nene you still hate being in the car, you can cry for a very long time when you are in the car, I am hoping you outgrow that, I am actually taking you everywhere this days hoping you get used to it.

Yesterday was Father's Day the girls spend a long time making the wrapping paper for baba and his 80 cards that they drew, they just love making that and they were so excited for the surprise in the morning we made pancakes and the whole time las nenas were asking when are we going to give him his surprise.


After el nono came, baba has become and expert in doing parrillada plus he loves it and he makes it very tasty.  

The other day we went out and purchase a pool we had gotten a big one but this backyard is not even so we had to return it and get a smaller one the girls love it and I sometimes get in there with them to play with them and to cool off sometime this week I will be putting Amir in there.

Went to Mexico and back in LA

So the heat is on with a vengeance is amazing we are not even in summer and the temperatures are fuming.  Samia is out of school and most of the summer activities have not started yet so the vast majority of our day is spend in the pool.

This past weekend we finish painting some stuff around the house and the girls also helped us afterwards we all decided to take a dive in our huge pool..yes even mami and baba.

Nenas baba was making you guys laugh so much saying we were in Mexico with our inflatable palm trees...nenes you guys would enjoy baba so much he can be so serious but so goofy at the same time, is just one of the many great traits he has.

Random here and there

Amir you are growing so much is amazing what 3 weeks can do, but also keep on consideration nene I am awake every 2.5 hours feeding you these days...for some reason you just think that between 3 AM to 5 AM is played time, why you can not go back to sleep like you usually do in your other feedings.  Hopefully soon you realize what day and night is..Yeah right mami, I think like a year has to go by before you know the difference between the sun and the moon.

Samia you are really keeping me busy this days the truth is that between and Amir and Gamila you take much more out of me either by talking to you, trying to make you understand why we are not suppose to do this or that, another thing I have notice about you is that you like to tell others what to do, hard to believe that you are so quite and calm but love delegating others what you are suppose to do.

Next week guido and zetu should be arriving...I know las nenas are going to enjoy them so much.  Samia I have also being looking into what kind of summer programs you are going this year so far I have found a dance and a karate and also another like a pre k preparation. Oh and defiantly swimming and tball...wow busy schedule but nena I have come to realize you need structure and just staying home not doing anything it does not work. 


Oh Samia before I forget every time I reprehend you..you always give me a look and surely say something like 

"Mami I love you!!!!"


Nenes just so you know what goes thru mami's head this days:
I try to do things every time Amir is sleeping yes I don't stay still, I also try to read as much I can to you guys, mami also wants a new sewing machine hers is acting up royally after owning a Singer for many years and never having a problem I decided to buy a Kenmore and wow they are not even half as good as a Singer so I think this time I will go for a Singer once again..I want one that does some kind of quilting I want to try to teach myself to Quilt.

I know I always want but I guess in today's world when you turn on the TV there are commercials when you go online there are commercials is hard to resist, although I am not getting this it does not hurt to want it and read about it and follow it etc etc...After Tio Cesar came and show me his Apple computer I would love to have one...but not right now mine still works and I prefer a sewing machine versus a new laptop.


What baba thinks about this days... a NEW car yes ours is a lease and we are about to finish it so we are into looking for a new car that can pull the travel trailer we are getting this year, we miss the camping but with 3 children a tent is not for us anymore specially the bathroom situation we would be spending the whole night running to the hamam...so yes he is into the car and the travel trailer...The car I don't care much for but the travel trailer that I can not wait for.

Nenas this goes for you guys, I have people ask me how I can do it with 3 and alone and nenas is not easy in life nothing is hard as longest you are organize and not lazy wake up early and your day would always be a better one...follow this always in life waking up early and being organize can make a huge difference.

Animals, colors and circles

We finally finish the nursery after many weeks of trying to put together the truth is that everybody around me help me.  The idea came little by little Abuela help me picking the bedding with baba afterwards I decided to add the hoops.  My friend Bonnie help me decorate them and add the appliques.  My sister in law help me cutting the circles for the curtains and Bonnie once again help me sewing them. 


Everything else just came little by little I did not want to spend lots of money on it since I like to change the baby's room usually when they become one year old.  Another thing that had me a little worry was that I did not want to get rid of my queen bed since we have Abuela coming and staying with us follow by Guido and Zetu and I like having the extra big bed in case one of the kids get sick and I have to go and sleep  with the.


Also the room is not that big so I was afraid that if I put too much color it would make the room look much smaller so I used a white base and just add color here and there.  I am so happy with the end result, baba is in love with it, he helped me so much the truth is that he hang everything and design where everything was going to be place usually I make and he designs after all he does have a degree in art and sculpture.

Now we are just waiting for the little man to arrive.


On another note today we celebrated valentines day Abuela made the girls this nice dresses they love them and so did I.  We bake cookies and then I made  a tea party for them they love that, and I love seeing them enjoying the cookies they help me make.  Nenas you spend the whole day kissing each other because it was valentines always remember is not only one special day we should take to tell your sister or brother how much you love them.

Baby today when we finish your room I can not explain what I felt is like soon I will have you in my arms my little man the one that one day Inshallah  would take care of me, hold my hand when I am old.  Thank you God for giving me the chance of having a boy. 


Gracias papito Dios te agradezco todos los dias por lo que me has brindado en mi vida desde el dia que mi madre me cargo en sus brazos.  Despues de mis hijos el mejor regalo que la vida me ha dado es mi madre, no hay mujer ni persona como ella.

Pre Valentines!

I guess I have to be sincere I am not much of a fan of Valentines I just don't get all the hype about it but the girls are getting into it school really drills it and I guess they just follow.  The other day we had Samia do her own Valentines cards to take to school we really enjoy doing them.  She got to paint them and to trace her name so I felt good.

Nenas always remember that baba is a great person not only he works very hard so we can have everything we need but he is always going that extra mile to make things easier for all of us.  I have no words to describe the heart baba has.


Samia yesterday when you woke up you notice your bee Lily was missing a leg, like it was expected you went ahead and made a big show, he felt so bad of waking me up that he decided to sew the leg, when I woke up and saw him in my craft closet with a needle and lily I asked him if he needed any help but no he had already fix it for you.  Nenas he is always ready to help no matter how easy or difficult the task is...so always remember to let him know how much you love him and appreciate everything he does for us.

Big girl bed

So we finally have internet our modem die on us and it took a while to get one back.  Actually not having internet at home let's you do many things.


We finally moved Gamila to her big girl bed so the baby can use her crib....really I am impress first nigh in her bed and she went down with no problem and she still there, I had a feeling it was not going to be difficult the only thing is the nap but I think she would learn it.  She loved her bed and was so excited as well as Samia.

I was also able to finish my first crochet blanket...the truth is that I love crocheting is so relaxing and you can get hook on it...dangerous stuff, there are plenty of faults on it specially the sides they looked so crooked it was scary so Abula told me to add a ruffle like crochet well you tube is an excellent inspiration seriously you can learn anything in there.  I can not wait to have the baby wrap around this blanket.

Like I mention before I bought a green leather chair I was not sure about it but after decorating its surroundings,  we have made a very nice cozy corner in our room...I even made an ottoman again from one of my Indian purses I just love to put my feet up high when I sit down.  I was never like that but after sitting in the recliner to watch TV for some reasons I have gotten used to it...nenas and you love to sit in the ottoman when I am sitting in my chair or baba is.  I also made this silhouettes of las nenas they were so easy to make and very very inexpensive.  We just love this little corner in our room, I think is going to be very helpful once the baby is born and I have to breastfeed.  Nenas that table next to the chair has being in my family for about 20 years Abuela had it then she gave it to baba and I when we moved to SC and since then it has being with us, they hold allot of sentimental value.

Nenas I love having you guys around even with the mess this 2 little bodies can make but is so worth it.  For instance today baba went to your school Samia this month is learning about the world so they ask parents that are from different countries or have lived in different countries to come and talk and share....Samia you were beyond yourself when you saw your baba, you made sure everybody knew he was baba from Egypt.  Samiuta you made him so happy, please never change always be proud from where your parents are from and be thankful that you have the opportunity to live in a country like this one.



Samia also lately I have notice that you are very interested in talking Spanish you want to learn and learn and you are practicing I have to admit you have the cutest accent and you know you make me so happy when you say your few words in Spanish.


Gamila you are changing allot you have calm down allot you are very sweet and love to cuddle you just love to be held and kiss and love to be lovable.  I also feel you are sensing the baby would be here soon because you want to be next to me all the time..don't worry my nena there is plenty of love in mami's heart for the 3 of you.


Baby you have taken over my body I feel like I am walking with a balloon and I mean an inflatable balloon in my belly you love to move and I know the space is limited but at night you make sure I feel you couple of times.
