Back in the Bayou

We finally got back on Tuesday!  Being home is always a mix of emotions after you live your other home.  However I know that this were I have to be.  The kids like being home playing with their toys, playing with baba.  Is not easy being alone here after having so many family and friends around me back in Miami, but the beginning is always like this.

On the way back we made in two days the trip was too long the first time, it was just not worth it.  I was really hoping baba could meet us over there but due to circumstances beyond my control thta plans change.  Like they always says everything happens for a reason.  Samia and Gamila went back to school yesterday and they love going back into their routeing.  However I can not wait till the summer comes so I can go down to Miami again and spend some days with my family.

The girls had fun in the trip we stop in several places, WOW I never though traveling with a dog and finding a hotel that was pet friendly was so difficult.  Sad but truth, however I do remember it was easier in South Carolina.

In the next couple of weeks allot of changes would be coming, moving to a new town, school searching and the list goes on and on.  I am just getting prepare mentally for all of those changes.

Democracy for Egypt

It finally happen!!!! I am so happy that Egypt finally is free from Mubarak.  We are beyond excited here at home.  There is not much to say, just lots of happiness and lost of new plans and waiting to see how everything starts to develop.

Here at home Milo, baba and mami are very interested in the news that even Milo has her own way of telling us the news.

Allergic and Crafts

Everyday we learn something new I always heard  Abu saying it and now that I am older I see it everyday.  I learn something new about myself and about others for instance last week we learn Milo is allergic to ant bites 

Milo you went out to play and got bitten by an ant, Samia called me screaming and I went and remove it from your hand it was just one and I did not give it much thinking, however a few minutes later you started crying and complaining your tongue was hurting.  The truth is that I did not give it much thought I though it was just you not feeling well.  Then you started crying and complaining so I asked you to let me see your tongue and it was swellen so right away I took you to after care and yes indeed you were having difficulty breathing by the time we made it.  I was so scared but so glad that we found out when I was around and I was there to take care of you.

This week we being working in some valentine crafts, Samia you love making this garland it was so easy and it kept you entertain for a while, I love to have you do crafts that you are going to enjoy doing and best of all you are going to be looking at some time to decorate the house I find that you take more pride of those crafts.

Milo you were too little for a needle and thread so you opted for the puzzles.

More catching up

Samia you are so thankful I love making things for you, the praise that comes out of your mouth makes me want to do more and more like the happy face quesadillas you love them.

Lately we being sick at home so the nights have being a bit frustrating one wakes up and then is like a chain reaction, I was thinking the other day I think I have had more sleepless nights the last couple of weeks even more than when the kids were born.  I love this pic baba did the duty that night.

The weather here is crazy up and down looks a little bit like the stock market gains 140 loose 160.  So before I know the weather is going to be insane cold or rainy I make sure that we enjoy the outdoors and sometimes I let them go crazy and crazy I mean by jumping in poodles of water.

Sometimes I find we don't have allot of pics of us together is hard when nobody is around to take them so that means that I set up the camera and then run run and run trying to put everybody in place and yes Milo you never made it to this pic.

Nenas I hope you guys look at this picture in about 15 years when you guys tell me "Mami you never let us do anything" I will make sure I put this out so I can proof I do.

Crowns of toilet paper -- ETC

Everyday we tried to do a craft at home, so we can have some fun and learn a new thing.  Today was crown days of toilet paper rolls, I am tired of buying crowns and ending up destroyed either my small terminator AKA as Amir or my yuyu.

Samia loves wearing it all the time and just pretending she is a queen not longer a princess.

The other day when I was looking at the calendar I realize that very soon we would be moving again is hard to believe time flies this days so I decided that I wanted to take some pictures at my favorite places in my house I just love looking at them, I found pictures of our first house a couple of months ago and every time I see them I remember or feel what I was at that time....I find that we live through our memories.

 This is by the kitchen sink, every time I am there I find myself looking at these people and know that somebody in Peru made them with their hands I just love it, I also think what a big journey these pieces have travel I have own them since 2009

Here is my night table WOW it has change over the last couple of months no longer a baby bottle the best part.  Also who would think that at 36 I already own a blood pressure machine, years before there was always a book but technology has taken over and I just love my kindle.

Baba was out of town for a couple of nights so nenas now you guys have it all figure out so now I just bring the mattress and have a sleepover at my house.

Catching up

The last couple of days we have done a couple of things the girls have being a bit sick and I have my fingers cross hopefully is just a flu what Amir has and not another ear infection for God sakes we just had tubes in.

Nenas you love to play with each other the other day while Milo played with her doll house, Samia painted the back pack tio Cesar and Tia Maria send to her for Christmas.  Samia this is the first time you paint within the lines I just love how pretty you painted the back.

Last week was pajama day at school, I can not get over that only here I love the concept though, I wish there was a pajama day all around it would be fun to see people walking around in the jammies.  After the pajama day the girls decided to have a picnic, Samia like always you are the innovator decided that the umbrella was necessary.

 Milo or ojitos like I call you although baba lately has being calling you ojitos as well.

Experiments

A couple of weeks ago Samia came from school talking about Hawaii and Obama and volcano.  I being hearing it so much and she even explain to me how to make it so this past long weekend I home I figure it would be a nice time to make it.  The girls had so much fun making it so did I.

I love to see the happiness in their face, they look so amaze at it.  Gamila was very interested but there was moment she felt a little fear I think she though lava was going to be all over the place.

It was so funny prior to the experiment they were smelling the vinager and making all these silly faces.  I have not being able to figure it out but why is s child laughs so rejuvenating, I hear Samia and Milo laugh and my day gets better no matter how bad it had being before.

Nenas you guys love to play together but you also love to fight just remember this faces when you guys grow older and drive each other nuts.

This past weekend I also took the girls to their favorite place, when I go to this place I get to see how much Samia has change how years before she would always be next to my side and now she is all by her self out and about climbing the rides or playing the rides.

Brotherly love

Samia you are getting so big and so independent you love to play things by yourself, I have to admit nena I love it since between Gamila and Amir am always in the middle.  For some reason I think Amir and Gamila have a competition for my attention.  Gamila you can be so calm and collected but the moment you see me doing something for Amir you go bananas.

I know you guys love each other dearly because I see how excited you two get when you interact, the truth is that you too remind me allot of Tio Fabio and me

Now that I look at these pictures WOW I see how it works older sister always bothering younger brother.  Sorry Mao I never meant to be such a pest.  With this Amir sorry nene but Gamila would always be your shadow.

Samia here you are with your puzzles which you love and you can spend hours playing with.  I am so happy I was able to get them for a bargain the other day.  They are wood so hopefully in 5 years I can take a picture of Amir playing with them, that is if we don't loose a piece or Yuyu destroy the pieces.

Jackets to sleep

Nenas there is not a day that baba or mami don't laugh at something you guys do.  I did not catch this one it was baba that notice it when he came from work.

A few nights ago I put you guys to sleep like always, baba came home much later and like always he goes and see you guys in the room and kisses you and covers.  As he was walking out of the room towards the kitchen baba asks me:

Baba - Is there any reason why the girls are sleeping with their jackets

I was like WHAT?  I go and check and this is what I found.  Samia took her pajama off and put her jacket, Gamila put her jacket in top of her fleece pajama.
