The summers days are long and is just so hot outside that I have to come up with ideas to keep Samia away from the TV and Gamila...so the other day while at a craft store we came across and apron, for some reason I always want and apron but I never get to buy it....I always tell baba buy it as a gift and it never happens.
Then when I saw this white apron I remember all the fabric markers tio Fabio gave us the last time he came over and I figure Samia and Gamila could draw one for me and make them draw one each year as they grow up. I was glad it kept them very busy for a good part of the afternoon.
Gamila you love to hold your baby brother.
Amir yesterday you turn 5 months gosh time flies. You are a such a good baby happy all the time and you love to eat and be held while we watch TV...oh nene and thank you, you are letting mami sleep the whole night from 7:30 I put you down till about 7:00 the next morning, you also take 2 naps during the day....although nene I am sorry sometimes the going out to pick up your sisters can mess up your schedule but I guess that is the 2nd and 3rd child syndrome.
My vegetable garden has come to an end the Zucchini plant gave up on me, however Amir you did get to eat them I made you some baby food the tomato plant still giving me a few tomatoes, I still have the Anaheim pepper and some okra. The other day I took the oregano and I dry it up.
I first wash it very carefully
I then let it dry and with a piece of dental floss I made little bunches
Then I let it outside to dry for a couple of days
Then I separated the leaves and put it my condiment rack...and wallah we have oregano for the rest of the year.
When does mami rest? not much during the day however when I finally put down everybody at night I am usually tired and I just want to catch a movie or watch my novelas ...they are some good ones now days....I can not wait for las nenas to get older and watch them with me...now is baba the one who is always hearing me rant about them..although he does not speak spanish he is always interested in my novelas...now I am watching....Donde esta Elena.....Rosario Tijeras
However since my nenas love to wake up so so so early something like 6:30 AM I staring to put them to take a nap during the day at least 30 minutes...however when I do get to do that I have Amir awake...although I tend to take him to his room and lay him in the bed he loves to watch everything in there is so full of color.
Dangerous......keep away or in other words be careful with Gamila.yesterday while I was in the room changing Amir and baba was with Samia in the bathroom...Gamila decided she wanted to drink something and she needed a glass...I had never seeing her doing this but I had notice that she would come out with a glass out of nowhere...so yesterday when I heard the chair move I knew it had to be her so I came outside I catch this...of course I had to tell her never to do it again...she can fall and I don't want to even think about it...so now I put the glasses low that way she can always serve herself water....
This week was a quiet one Samia did not have any summer camp nor Gamila, however this coming week we have a full schedule Samia starts dance camp for two weeks and Gamila goes back to her summer dance classes, that means Amir and Mami would become chauffers againg...
Earlier this week we went to have fun to the jumpy place with our friends we had not seeing them on a while
Amir is getting bigger and bigger he is starting to want more solids I had being giving him mainly mashed bananas but this week I made him some baby food I did him some apple sauce, some green peas, and some bananas. I really enjoy making them their food I tried with the three of them to give them as much home food as I could.
I am also a bit sad the vegetable garden is coming to its end, I only have a few zuchinni plants left, an okra plant, a few peppers, mint and one tomatoe. The other day I took care of the oregano as of now I have it drying to store the leaves. Would update on that later. And since I am always alone and nobody to take pictures of me with my little man now the mirror is my favorite photography tool.
Gamila has also become very handy when it comes to bathing Amir.
I am so happy with my mini veggie garden I never though it was going to work I even had Guido build another raised bed because the Zucchinis started expanding too much...is my first time growing them and boy can they grow and take over everything.
We moved them about a week ago and just now they are getting back into place. We also had to move the peppers and the eggplant.
We all love going out there and picking some veggies, watering the plants, cutting some death leaves and so forth. Las nenass love picking the tomatoes and having one of us cut some strawberries for them. Is something I will keep on doing is a great experience and also teaches the kids.
Yesterday we all went to the park actually was the first time I venture to the park and the supermarket with all the kids it was not that hard, I figure I have to start getting ready Guido and Zetu would be leaving soon. Las nenas enjoy themselves in the park, Amir was just under the shade.
Samia had great social skills school is the best, Gamila on the other hand you are a very moody gal, a lady was giving you a complement about how cute you were and the only face you gave her was your nalga face....I hope you change this summer because starting August you will be in school.
So my vegetable garden is paying off lately we have being making our salads from there I being meaning to take a picture but I always forget. Today Samia helped me pick the lettuce, the dill, the parsley and some cilantro as well as some tomatoes and we made this yummy salad for dinner.
Samia loves picking the garden and so do I....I just love it.
This week was the last day for Samia's school, is hard to believe that her first year just flew by. She learned so many things she became a bigger girl, I just love to see how much she has grown this past year. Now we are getting ready for the summer I already set up her summer activities.
Gamiala would also go to a dance summer camp, I can not wait to see that she is always getting dress when Samia goes.
Amir you are getting so big you are lifting up your head you look so cute!!!!
Yes yes my little man now smiles and I love every single moment of it...most of the time the giggles come early in the morning.
Amir looks allot like Milo when she was a baby I think it all has to do with those long curly eyelashes, although his eyes are smaller and definitely my brown I don't even think they are going to be like Samia's brown eyes. Overall he is a good baby something I find from him very different from my other two girls is that he does not like to be held that much he loves to lay in the bed or in his swings, I think is something that has to do more with him not liking the body heat...I don't blame him I am the same way.
Today baba was home in the morning and we all lounge in bed and play lazy people here are my 4 favorite people.
Seeing Amir sleeps is just like baba estirando trompa with a mean look not sure why they sleep like that but everything has to be said baba always wakes up in a good mood, on the other hand I sometimes wake up in not such a good mood or like they would say "adentro mama Aleida" meaning my Abuela would wake up in a bad mood like I do sometimes is more like I don't want to talk to anybody..by now baba knows to detect that mood and he just stays away for a while...nenes I guess you guys would learn too sooner or later when mami wants to be talkative in the morning or not so talkative.
Something that makes me laugh about baby Amir is how he can go from this to this
On a complete different subject my raised bed vegetable garden is growing and growing I am so happy although today we found some weird bug is eating my leaves...although I went right away with Guido and the girls to Lowes to buy some medicine for my veggies. Before leaving I told Samia to go ahead and clean her hands and this what I found after she loves to wet her face all over..is an Egyptian thing Guido and Zetu do that allot and I think from seeing them she imitates them.
Samia although you look so much like me there is something that you have just like you baba is those eyes.
Gamila you are spoil little girl loves to play with Guido and play baby even to the point to make Guido carry you all over Lowe's like this.
