Landscape with Tio Fabio

Like Tio Fabio always says "Everything comes to an end" and yesterday it did, he left with his family, like always tears are involved is just so hard to see him leave it breaks my heart. I am so happy he came and I got to meet Jenniffer what a great girl, they are both a lucky couple and little Charlie would be a very special boy having them for his parents.

Crystal what can I say polite, sweet she is just every parents dream child. The goodbye was a difficult specially when Samia would not stop crying for her Tio, it was so pleasing hearing them scream "Tio" as they were waving their little hands goodbye.

Tio helped us so much around the house on Friday and Sunday we finish the garden. Him and I work all day Friday and half of day Saturday, I even put cement something I had never done in my life but I guess is those little things that come along with being home owners.

Fabio and I designed the landscape on the front and around the side, we also did a little corner with lava rock and put a bird feeder we mainly wanted to block and entrance.

While Tio Fabio and I did the landscape the girls enjoy the pool, Gamila you lost the fear of the pool Crystal got you in there and your fear was gone.

I have two flower beds right when I come out of the house, we also have a key lime tree in a corner and another fruit on the other corner, some palms and 3 rose plants in the front and another 3 on the side, it was so much work but so worth it is amazing how the landscape in a house can change is facade.

Yesterday we just lay low in the house cooking and I had made a cake for Tio Fabio since his birthday is tomorrow I wanted to celebrated before he left, and we also took out time to take silly pictures and just goof around. Crystal loves to walk around the camera taking pictures of us in all of our crazy moves.

Nenas I just pray to God that the same love I share for my brothers is what you guys would share when you grow up

4th of July starts ballet puppet shows

Today we had a great day, we started with cleaning another section of the yard, I think we are never going to finish, my back is much better so I I was able to help baba more.  Samia also since yesterday you are in ballerina mood with the ballet, I usually play some things from Youtube ballet recitals or the nutckracker and you dance and dance away, today while we went out baba and I could not help ourselves and bought you a ballet outfit.  As it was to be imagine you were beyond yourself with the new dress up items.

Gamila you try to follow your sister in all of her ballet moves, I just love to see that special show you put up for us.  Also while we were coooking the two of you took time to play with the puppet show and mami even join the fun.  Baba sometimes thinks I am a child when it comes to getting in the floor and playing with my nenas.

Milo you also tried to help baba with the tandoorie chicken we made for dinner, I know we should had barbecue but we don't have one yet, one more thing to the list of items needed when you move to a new home.

Here the cooks: a ballerina, a chef in pijamas, and a chef in yard clothes.

After dinner and taking baths we started listening to the fireworks around our house and I could not help myself but I had to take the girls out in their pajamas to enjoy the lights.  I was amaze at how much fun you had watching them, and the facical expressions are to die for.

Milo like Samia you are a very special girl but there is something about you that melts my heart and is when I look into those big green/blue/gray eyes with those eyelashes I just can not say NO to you.

Round 1 ~~~ Playroom

I feel much better still some pain, but I am getting to do more things.

Gamila today you did the unthinkable. You hit Samia so hard that you broke her lip to the point that it was bleeding.  As you can imagine Milo you got la chancla and then the crib for a long time.  Like magic you were an angel the rest of the day.

Today I started working in fixing the play room still needs many things but I have started putting paper all around the room I was thinking of doing just one wall, but last week my friend Bonnie mention maybe to do only half of the wall all around the room.  I used scrapbook paper from Walmart and the removable glue dots. I originally got the idea from here I did not want to make it so bright and I also like the idea that if the girls color the walls I just have to pull out the paper and replace it.

I still have to do a small piece we run out of the glue and baba does not feel comfortable with me driving yet.

While I was working in their room Gamila and I did some hat dressing up having some fun.

Hopefully by the end of the weekend this room would be all fixed.

Decoration bug --- friends!!!

I think it was two days Zetu made mashi I usually make them but I never make the zucchini, the girls love the zucchini and so did I. Her mashi was delicious, mine can not even be compare to hers, although I have learn a few tips from her hopefully by the time they leave I will be a better cook. Inshallah!!!!!

We have also being building a few things and Samia you have become Guido's assistance, is funny but now you know what a screwdriver is, a hammer and so forth...I have two mohandish in the house.

The last couple of days we have started taking all of our decorations. I have to admit one of the cool things in being in a multicultural relationship is the different styles of decorations. We have always decorated the living area arabic style and the dinning area with my spanish style. The last time we went to Egypt we brought so many things back for the new house, plus Guido and Zetu brought us a few more things. Nenas baba is mainly in charge of decorating, I have to admit he has a very good eye I will venture to say better than me.

We are almost finish with the arabic side we still have our spanish side. Nenas I know you guys would fight baba when you guys want to put a nail in the wall and baba would be screaming "NO" we discover the 3M things to hang things, but the problem I have now is that my spanish stuff is too heavy since they are made of clay so I am working on him with the nails issue.

We still have the chandeliers and so many other things to do little by little Inshallah.
On another note Bonnie and the girls came over I was missing them so much, is being a while, although Samia has stayed over their house last week, but I had not spend anytime with them and I missed them. The girls had so much fun playing in the not finished playroom. Those two little girls are so cute, but my Samantha is my girl she is the sweetest thing she loves for me to carry her and cuddle up with me. I am so happy that God put in our life people like the Azadan's.
Samia you played with Alexandra you guys dress and undress 10 times, color and chased each other.
Gamila you and Samantha are starting to bond more and play together, the two of you loved to hug and kisses.

Back in Business

I can not believe it but I survive without the internet for a week in a half is hard to believe but it was done. Maybe because I was bury in boxes, cutting grass in 100 degrees temperature, unpacking, adding points to my american express, or becoming the assistance coach of a soccer team...yes you read right baba and mami are your couches for your soccer team Samia the "Green Suckers" don't ask me how we ended up being the coaches it happens so rapidly we did not even had a chance to say "NO" and sincerely I would not had said NO I love it I love those two afternoons that we go and train 9 childrens in the ages of 3 -4 years even our Samia.

On Sunday we celebrated Father's Day baba enjoyed a cake made by Samia or like she calls her self. Aurora, or Princess barbie.

Samia for some reason the last couple of weeks you change your name by the minute you go from Aurora to Cinderella to Barbie in seconds. You have also deciced that you want to go to ballet school and even make the attempt to practice here at home. I also purchase a Voice recorder and I keep it on to records our dialogs. I remember being a bit older and hearing what Abuelo had recorder of me when I was small and I enjoyed it so much hearing my voice at the age of 4 or 7. I think this would be a nice keepsake, especially in these days that time goes so fast by.

Nenas you two are enjoing the house so much it makes me so happy to see you running all over the place and in the yard. Is funny but the house is empty I guess moving from an apartment to a house makes a difference when it comes to space. I am hoping to keep it like this, so we don't feel the need for a bigger house in many many years to come. I know is easier said than done but I will try. Gamila you are in a stage that you imitate everything Samia does. Your favorite word is "SAMIIIIAAAA"

Nenas Guido loves playing with you two and he is willing to do anything that is needed for the two of you.

Dr. in the house ~ Driving endless road ~

Today we drove and drove I fed and fed and I had an endless (pointless) erratic dialogs with Samia.

Yes imagine being in the car with las nenas for 2 hours drive then stop 20 minutes and 2 hours drive again. I pack like 4 different containers with snacks these were some of the items in their menu: dry mango, dry cranberries, raisins, hot dog, cheese, grapes, platanitos, bread and cookies oh and juice...and the saddest part is they were still not satisfy. It figure the more you give them the more choices they have making them more picky.

I am those kind of moms that feels guilty letting them watch the car DVD for hours, I think I am robbing their brain from developing (I know I am weird sometimes) and I can not help myself I remember being in a car for 10 hours when I was a child and not having DVD and nothing happen. So to compensate for the DVD I become their entertainer oh I should rephrase it they entertain me...and it goes something like this:

Mami what color is that car?
Gris
Mami how you say raining in Spanish?
LLuvia
Mami how you say stop raining in arabic?
Mami jalas cheta (I know the pronuciation is not the best and jalas is not the correct word to rhyme with rain but I know an arab would understand her)
Mami why we driving?
Por que fuimos a ver la casa
Mami can you buy me a house?
Si ya la compramos
Mami I have play date in my house?
Si Inshallah
Samia says Gamila say YEAH
Gamila - screams out of the top of her lungs YYYYEEAAAHHH (this kid does not know how to talk she screams)
Mami where is baba
In Target.
Mami lets go shopping
Okey Samia
Mami let's go Walmart (I know it should be Target)
Mami where you buy my mono

And it went on for about 1 hour till she finally felt asleep, then it was time to entertain Gamila hard to do since she loves to play with Samia, then it was me trying to keep her from waking up Samia so I gave up and DVD came up. Thank God Milo felt asleep a few minutes later this way I still felt like a Champion a 4 hour drive without DVD it can be done!!! YEppy.

Another huge milestone Samia you are in a booster chair now and I love is much easier and you have more mobility in the car which makes you a happier passenger.

Another thing that made me happy is the fact that even though they had to spend a whole day in a car today they were able to play nonstop yesterday for a couple of hours with some of their friends. Yesterday we had Carson (the doctor), Addison (the patient/princess Aurora), Carly (the Veterinarian), Gamila (the princess) and Samia you did a little bit of everything. We had a nice time having some Arabic food and some nice fruits and brownies the other mami's brought it was just a great time.

Samia also as of today you are officially a soccer player in Houma, LA I can not wait to see you running for the ball and having baba like a coach most likely. Wow I can not believe my pollito y pollita would be soon the soccer stars in Bayou country (okey mami you went a little bit over board, wishful thinking never hurts)

Today we did the first inspection in the house that would be another post my perfectionist husband drove the Realtor insane...can not imagine when we go for the final inspection with the builder, that would definitely would be a very long post.

Last night I finish sewing a dress for Milo I feel bad Samia always gets most of my sewing...I see it these way Gamila is growing fast --- what I make for Samia would end up being for Milo...I know I should not be thinking that way and actually my mind is changing now Gamila enjoys posing for me with her new dresses.

Casa, House, Elbit

Well we are so excited today we went by our new house and we will be getting the house by the middle of March, I wanted for the beginning of March for Samiuta's birthday but Oh Well! Is not under my control, the good news is that guido and zetu would be here so they can help us with the move. I can not imagine moving with two little ones around the house.
Is so real I can not believe it finally we will have our first home. Thank God! I guess I should be more thankful now that there are so many people loosing their homes to foreclosures.
On another note today I had some mami time well that is, if we can call Walmart, Vegetable store, Arabic store and Dollar Store mami time. I would had love to go to the fabric store or Clinique by myself I guess that can be next week.
This is funny Samia keeps on asking me when she is going to see Alexandra and Carson to cook in her kitchen, so I tell her dont worry tomorrow we are going to play at Jazmin's house and immediately she screams (not sure why she can not talk she has to scream) "OH!!! Mami princess Jazmin" how can I kill her dream and tell her that princess Jazmin does not exist...I guess when she sees our friend tomorrow she will realize that we are not going to an enchanted castle....
Okey now I am going to ramble here I am sitting typing this post and watching my novela "Annalia" and the best part I am crying because of the novela....come one Mistika how can I cry over a novela that has the chezzys trama imagine the movie face off but with girls and in the middle off it all include love affairs etc, etc...
Like I am always multi tasking not only I am I writing a post, I am watching a novela but I am also burning YouTube videos to DVD so Samia can watch them in the TV. Today when I came back from my mami time I found our Laptop cover in electrical tape....yes she drop the Laptop watching Bebe Lilly and it chipped on the sides so baba like always used his electric tape...I have to confess our baba is in love with that tape the love affair comes all the way from Egypt, he used to use them back there as well, since Guido is an electric engineer he grew around them and found them very useful in all kind of situations.
