Party Mode - Nest - Christmas

We are in party mode in this house, I really enjoy preparing my nenes birthday...I am a fan of doing allot of the stuff is like an adrenaline rush for me and now the girls are so much into it as well.  I have most of the stuff for the party already I either made it or print it.  And now with my two little helpers things are much easier.

 While las nenas prepare things, el nene decides to venture under the table either to pick the garbage we drop or to pull the mantel...yes Amir you are crawling all over the place and exploring everything you get your hands on.  I guess is a different stage for mami now I have to start getting use to it.

Amir I also want you to know there are days you look just like mami and some other days you are the vivid image of baba.

Oh nenes it looks like the new pairs of doves are trying to mate so mami and Samia decided to make our own nest to see if they decided to mate..I would love that it would be a great learning experience for all of us.  I read that doves don't like enclose nest so we made one with a box of oatmeal some paper and Samia you even draw a few hearts in the nest I though that was so cute.

Mami also started working in an Advent Calendar for Christmas is a combination of different things I have seeing, I just love the fact that we would not have to put a little something in each pocket but more like ornaments to put in the tree.  Hopefully I finish in time...

Samia is 4

Samia turn 4 today and her day started with a room full of balloons, Tio Cesar helped me do all the balloons last night so when she would wake up she was surrounded by them, WOW she was so happy I just love the way she is so thankful and came out screaming

"Thanks you baba"


This are the things that give make me so happy and make me be a better mom everyday the way is so thankful and grateful at such a young age. Let me see that we are making a good job.

Today we did a  little get together after going back and forth and canceling a party.  However today was just perfect she had lots of fun and got to enjoy her day with some of her friends.

Samia you love pink and you and your sister love Yo Gabba Gabba and like is expected you love foofa the pink flower of the show...I actually enjoy the show myself because of the music is very upbeat and every time we play it at home the girls are bouncing of the walls with it.


Abuela helped me yesterday with the cake as well as baba is a tradition here at home to bake and decorate our cakes.


Abuela also helped me make the little goody bags of fooffa, it was small but everything came out so pretty just perfect for a my little pink girl.

Since baba had to work today when baba got home we make sure we sang happy birthday once again.

Party Animal

So yesterday we had Gamila's birthday at a very nice animal habitat in Baton Rouge, the place is great and the owner is an adorable lady.  Needless to say the kids had so much fun I love it I was so glad the kids got to enjoy it.


Gamila you had fun but Samia you were all over the place you even got your face cleaned by a deer he was licking all of the cake frosting from your face.  I am so happy we made this choice for the birthday the place the weather and the company I could not had asked for better.  Alhomdulliallah!


Thanks for everybody that came Gamila really enjoyed seeing all of her friends and thanks for all of the gifts.  

 

 

New Year!

So finally the birthday festivities are over..

Today we had her birthday party many of her friends came over and it was a very pleasant morning..I was good I was not picking up after every single paper plate or paper cup I saw...I control myself..I was a bit preoccupied over the space but my apartment proved to hold very well the crowd.

We finally got to cut the much much worked Wow, Wow, Wubbzy cake The process was a long one but so worth it.

I am not sure if is me or most of the moms out there but when you have small children we go by our children faces we know what is coming next just by at the facial expression.

While going thru the pictures today of the party I came across your two faces the ones that you use all the time and I love them...especially the one that makes your two dimples stand out.

Samia with this I close this year and I embrace the following year with open arms and an open mind to raise you to best of my knowledge, I only ask papito Dios (God) to guide me the right way and to help me be a better person so I can be a better mami.

Multi mix friday!I

So I watch Slumdog millionaire a couple of days ago and since that day I have watch it 3 times and the soundtrack I will not even go there I wake up to it and go to sleep with it. So today I was thinking there are certain things I don't understand like:

Why do we get hook in things?

Why do I go to the supermarket and sometimes the bill is 50 dollars and then I go again and for the same things or in my mind it seems like the same stuff I pay 100. I get the feeling that there are times I get more for my money.

Why my almost 3 year old is fixated with her poop, she has to look at it and the other day she even went as far as to naming them WHY?

Why my 1 year old beats up her sister?

Why is it so hard to say NO to our loved ones?

Why some people gives us an eerie feeling?

Why some other people we just fall in love with them?

Why do we walk next to people we know and we don't even say a lousy "Hi"?

Why do we use people?

Why do people drive like maniacs even though you can see the traffic to a full stop ahead?

Why do people brag so much about what they have?

Enough of my unknowns to a better note...

I finally decided to do a birthday party for Samiuta she helped me come up with the invitation and since we are in the world of technology why not make good use of it -- instead of wasting paper trying to be green here and save in some mula not using the postal service so we did Evite Great service they have. Her invitation looks like this

However Samia decided that her party had to be Wow Wow Wubbzy what a pain to find things with the theme but I will pull it through. I usually like to make their cakes so I will come up with an idea Inshallah!

Today we went to get her some gifts and it was a little stressful half of the stuff I like baba does not like or we are afraid Gamila is going to eat it, is funny how is so hard to buy gifts when you have a younger child and you are afraid she is going to choke with one of those tiny tiny pieces.

Another cocktail change of subject -

So my Samia loves flowers today I bought her a little plant and I told her every day she has to remind mami to water the plant.

The plant had being in the house for 4 hours and I think I got reminded every single hour. She climbs and grabs her and talks to her, she just love her plant and the flowers..I will try to keep on taking pictures of it so we can see how the plan grows.

Samia today was the first time I ever left you alone with our friend Bonnie, I know maybe am an overprotective mom but I just can not help myself!

Good news with my dolls my first 2 orders would be mail on Monday, also made contact with a
missionary organization in Brazil, and another in Guatemala so is getting bigger we will have many many more happy little girls soon!!!! And to all of those that volunteer, I might be contacting you soon!!!

Another B-Day !

Today we had allot of fun going to Alexandra's bday party. The girls had a really nice time and I can not leave myself out I enjoy the company and most important seeing las nenas have a nice time.

Samia you were always with your friend Alexandra after everybody left you and Alexandra decided to draw in the easel. Then you guys cook a little bit in Alexandra's kitchen, that was into Alexandra tried to feed Samia and you bite her finger...poor Alexandra.

that did not walk till she was 16 months...yes Gamila you were in every bodies arms I think only a few people did not get to carry you. You are starting to take steps when you are holding to things....truly I can not wait till you start walking at least my two hands would be back...I am hoping you walk in the next months not like SamiutaSamia you waited till 16 months to walk, poor mami's and baba's arms and back..and you were not that light neither.

So is official you are 1 year old yeppy yeppy....

Gamila you have change my life in so many ways. I learn what is to have a very active baby, needy and clingy baby...and I love every single minute of it.


I love to see you standing up in your crib when I walk in in the
morning and you look at me with those beautiful eyes and those
curls all over the place.

I love when you say tete.

I love when you give me a bossa.

I Love to see how you giggle with your sister.

I love the fact that it takes me 10 minutes to put your pamper on.

I love when I have to carry you around when I am doing the vacuum cleaning.

I love to see you get into every possible hole we ha e in the house.

I love when you try to play Houdini.

I love to see you get mad when we take something away from you.

I love to see you smile when mami or baba are silly.

I love when you put your thumb in your mouth and grab your blanket to go to sleep.

I love to give you a bath and see you playing with the water.

But most important I love the fact that you are my daughter.

Today the two of you have being up since early Oh and Samia you want to be call the birthday girl as well, you are so little that you don't know understand, mami also bought you a little gift so you will not be left out.

I made the cake. The process started at around 9:00 AM and finish it about 1:30 PM between taking care of the kids, baking and decorating it turn out to be a very very long process. First I did a drawing to have an idea of the colors and the position, then I kind of mark where each cake would go in the cardboard.

Then I bake the cake well I actually had to do two batches since I only had 3 containers I did not want to spend an outrageous amount in the pans so I look and look till I found some that were similar. I also put more batter in some and in some less to make a little different side balls. I try to follow her toy that she likes. For the decorating I had an idea of the colors. The icing was whipped cream since I dislike the one that is so sweet so I mixed the colors till I got the shades I wanted.


For dinner I made spaghetti's since I know both of the girls like it. We waited for baba to come we had dinner then we cut the cake but the girls enjoy so much the cake that they had to go and take showers right away. Then we opened the gifts, it was a great day with the girls.
