Experiments ~ Ice Cream Cup Cakes ~

With school being out it means I have to keep the girls super busy this way they don't get bored.   Yesterday baba had Samia do an experiment that came in her National Geographic magazine...I love this magazine is so much fun and she loves to look at it and do the activities.


They did the penny cleaning with vinegar and salt, she was amaze how clean her pennies had become.

I usually have them do an individual activity just because Samia really enjoys that one to one interaction plus she is older so it makes sense.  

Samia now that we are talking about you, today you came to me and told me we needed to have the house very clean for Abuela on Friday and you also wanted to have flowers for her everywhere. 

I thought that was so beautiful of you, is amazing how much you are already absorbing from what mami says...yes nenes every time we are having guest over the house the house has to be clean and we should have flowers as well as a fridge full with drinks and food.  Always make sure there is extra toilet paper and towels in the bathroom we have to make our guest feel at home, if they are sleeping over make sure you change the sheets before they arrive and after they leave.


In the afternoon we did some cooking together I wanted them to play with dough get the texture and by they way they prepared their own lunch...I was really amazed how long they stay playing with the dough and how much fun they had.  Samia was more focus in making sure her food was going to get made, Gamila enjoy allot the texture and playing and  playing.

They came out yummy they made some bread hot dogs and some small apple empanadas.


Today we played a bit watch some TV and then we did some baking we did this cool, Ice Cream Cupcakes yes you are reading right they are fill with cupcakes the girls love this.

It has being a busy couple of days, I like keeping busy, Nenas always keeps busy it helps your mind and everyone around you.  Sunday I baked muffins some were banana with nuts and the others were pumpkin with chocolate.  I loved those even though my Samia does not like chocolate baba, Milo and myself devoure them.  I also got a chance to use these templates I found on line a couple of weeks back. 

On Monday I got the chance to see some of the girls from the mommy group it was nice seeing them and knowing that although I had not done anything with the group for a while their friendship still there without any reproach, I really appreciate that.  Nenas always remember friends are to be enjoy when they are around.  Do not ever become dependent of a friendship or judge others for their actions, there is always a reason of why people act a certain way or do certain things.  We all make mistakes and we are nobody to judge them and if by any chance you dislike something a friend does have the decency to tell them in their face what you dislike, if they a real friend they would listen.  Also don't hold a grudge always remember it only hurts you and takes away from the positive energy you can give others.

So Halloween is around the corner and Ms. Samia wanted to be a Aurora for a while then it change to Jazmine but since we left to Miami her new costume is the Unicorn from Little Pony yes you are reading it right.   How can you change from a  princess to a horse, but what can I say it has being in her head for over 3 weeks and even though I have show her repeatedly the princess costumes she still sticking to her Unicorn.  So having no choice I came up with the costume with the help of baba like always.  Milo you love to get involve in everything we do specially when we are not looking around, here you are trying to get into the costume and poor Samia is looking like no Milo that is mine!

Today we went to a pumpkin patch actually to the school that Samia goes it was great they had a story time with cookies and drinks plus a pumpkin Samia loved it. The place was decorated great.

 

  

 

 

While the kids nap I finally finish a dress for Samia, I fell in love with the fabric the moment I saw it.

 

News about the baby I am 4.5 months Wow times flies hopefully in a week we would know if we are having a boy or girl, I have to be sincere I have very strong feelings we are having a girl, I think if is a boy we would very very surprised!

Once again baba is gone so that requires much more work for me keeping the nenas bussy so they don't miss baba so much.


Before baba left he made sure to do Samia's homework with her. They were having Queen and King day. (I had never heard of that but I guess is an activity to keep them bussy) She brought the crown with her on Tuesday and we had to take it today after helping her decorated it.

Samia being in school is a great help but then we have the afternoons. Yesterday I decided to make cupcakes I had being promising the girls for a while about the cupcakes.


I made the batter but then had each girl pick a color so I separated some batter and food color it. Samia helped me and as expected ate as well. Gamila you only ate that was the help I got from you. Milo you even put the whole container over your head.

A little under the weather!

So this last couple of days we being a bit sick first Samia with a terrible cough, fever and all of those nice things that the change of weather brings...poor Abuela is sick as well, coming from Miami to South Carolina for the wedding really got her sick. Gamila is doing good however today she started to cough so hopefully with a good nights rest she can out run the sickness. Mami has a little combo from everything that everybody has cough, at times fever etc etc etc...oh and Baba he is being working so so much he has not time to catch up with any of the germs of the house....Thank God.

Yesterday finally mami was able to finish the orange with almonds cake...the outcome was good BAba loves it since he loves almonds, Gamila like it as well, mami, abuela and Samia were not to thrill about it. However to finish the cake we have to do some garbage digging someone threw the newspaper away, and I confess it must had being me I love throwing things away.

Yesterday Abuela helped mami fix the girls room and make room for the Christmas toys, we are back to only one crib in the house it surely feels weird seeing only one crib, it feels like yesterday the three of us were fixing the room for Gamila's arrival (nenas I take this chance to tell you to live life to the fullest cherish every single special moment like planting a tree, building a toy, reading a book, taking a road side trip, going to the zoo etc).

Abuela and mami have also being doing a share of sewing and trying to understands this patterns oh Gosh I will not even get into it, they have me pulling my hair hasta me he puesto la panoleta de la berraquera que me dan esos patrones como abuela los llama que vaina mas enrredadas o seran estos gringos los que me enrredan con esas instruciones...el otro dia comentaba con Abuela cuando las nenas esten grandes y yo haga un comentario asi las nenas me van a decir MAmi nosotros somos americanas, el dia que eso ocurra me voy a morir de la risa...
