Rosy cheeks many decades later!!!

Cachetes, mejillas chapiadas, rosadas...
Khdod hamra....

I always wonder why there are certain things that no matter how many years have gone by or how many thousand of miles we have travel we still keep and can not get over it, now that I am a mom many of those memoirs come to mind and one in particular. ROSY CHEEKS
I remember growing up and every time we would be going outside Abuela would always pinch our cheeks to make them nice and pink an even go to the extend of putting a little bit or blush and the best part I can remember vividly like it just happen today she would moist the tip of her finger with her saliva and just a little of blush to make them nice and rosy. I have talk to baba about this and Zetu used to pinch his cheeks to get a nice rosy color as well....

Mashallah I just love this stuff that our mothers used to do!!!!
So why did they do it???? Not sure why maybe rosy cheeks means beauty and health, the only thing that I know is that it makes a long time impression every time I see Samia or Gamila with rosy cheeks I feel a sense of satisfaction. I have not pinch them yet to make them get rosy, but I can not guarantee you nenas that I would not do it one day!!!! Is hard to resist not doing what Abuela did after all she is my inspiration.
MAMI SE QUE NO LEES INGLES PERO QUIERO QUE SEPAS QUE ERES MI INSPIRACION TU Y MI PAPA CUANDO ERA CHIQUITA LUCHARON MUCHO PARA HACER DE MI LA PERSONA QUE SOY HOY!!!!
Here is Mami rosy cheecks

Nenas try to get one of baba's picture but I think with that olive skin it was hard to capture in a camera sorry nenas. However after looking at this picture Gamila came to my mind right away....Milo you just look like Yahiuha (like Zetu would call baba)

Que linda! Cuando era chiquita me chapeteaba con lapiz labial de mi mama, me sentia tan bonita!! I didn't get over doing that until my teenage years when I discovered blush!

Lol! Isn't it funny how we do things as adults that people did to us when we were kids?!
