Zooless and Monkey Einstein

So today we went to the Zoo well I should say to the petting zoo. Hopefully I don't offend any of my Baton Rouge friends but the Zoo here makes me sick. Literally I feel in a store that is about to close its doors and has being on sale for the last couple of weeks you find a pair of pants here and then the shirt there, empty racks. The same here with the animals a field of 1 acre to find a little deer as big as my daughter. A hippo that looks that he has not eaten on ages or maybe he is a dwarf and I am not aware of it. Seriously is insane to take that long walk to find nothing that is why I go straight to the sheep at least they have like 6 of those and we can brush them. Samia even wants to kiss them (I know gross, gross, but how can I explain to a toddler that they are dirty)

Maybe that is the city girl that comes out, or maybe I got spoiled in Egypt zoos were you feed the elephants even take pictures with them, you feed the monkey, even the tiger and lions get feed by us, or maybe the zoo in Miami that you can even rent a bicycle and cruise around the whole place and find people with snakes around their neck for you to pet them. Okey I should stop now or else the next time I want to go out with my Baton Rouge friends I will get bad looks or darts coming my way.

Why do we compare????? in some cases is a good thing but then in another way it can be a bad thing, or maybe comparisons were meant to be kept like an inner dialog....I being breaking my head thinking of something that can not be compare but everything that crosses my mind can be compare mothers, dads, daughters, children. Nenas I would not tell you not to compare but always be open and try not to be tooo judgmental BE OPEN!!!!

Today while I was at the playground with some other moms and I saw in their faces how concern, worry or scare they were the second they can not find their child in this
playground I wonder why they don't put microchip in children the day they are born..seriously dogs can get them why not children it would save us so many headaches.

So after all of this fun we come home 5 o'clock hits again and another day not knowing where we would be moving to....this is driving me insane as of last week they were talking about the Panhandle now they moved us 800 miles back to Louisiana. So I decided to get all of my frustration in poor Milo's hair and here is the result, I would call her my Monkey Einstein...

My son and I LOVE going to the zoo. Even at his age (thirteen), he still enjoys it because he loves animals. Whenever we go on vacation, we make sure to hit the zoo in the area, or any animal exhibits. In New York, we have the wonderful Bronx Zoo, which is one of the nicest in the country.

HI Mistika, We are Friends of the Zoo in Singapore, and that means we go there every other weekend, I feel if I were to leave my kids at the zoo, they will know their way in that massive zoo. But you must visit SIngapore zoo one day, its one of the best in the world and our night zoo... just amazing. I bet all Einsteins would love to be here... hehe.

Oh Lady you worry too much. You're as bad as me we just obsess over different things. Just for the record you have NEVER offended me. I have to admit the BR Zoo leaves a little to be desired compared to other zoos around the country but it's getting better. Love the picture of the hair. It's ha-freakin-larious.

Oh and I forgot to mention - you are always a fountain of wisdom. You really helped me put something in prospective yesterday and I don't think you even knew it.

Have you been to the zoo in New Orleans? It is a bit better. I am not a fan of the Baton Rouge Zoo either. It is depressing.

I'm not a fan of zoos. After Hubby and i completed our first safari six years ago we found ourselves unable to go to zoos where the animals were penned.

Try NOLA Zoo, it is so nice! We love it, we used to go there once a month before our membership expired.
